Jamaica House Basic School Dance Ensemble 2012

Welcome to Denise Reynolds and Rudolph (Junior) McFarlane, dance teachers with AIR & PAASA (Artiste in residence & performing arts after school activities). Thanks to all our partners, parents, students and school administrators for your patience and co-operation in assisting in the development of our Early Childhood Dance and performing arts programs. 

Many of you are eager to get updates on the schools participation in JCDC festival this year. Yes; by now all students participating in next week's audition should have had notifications from their respective schools. However this will be dependent on attendance and ability to attend extra rehearsals. Those who are not performing may also join us on our field-trip to auditions. Parents do come out in your numbers to see your little ones on the JCDC stage next week Tuesday, March 20th, 2012... be there for 9:00 AM please...! (Not Jamaica time...!!!)

AIR & PAASA supported 5 schools and organizations this term, as such, we would like to put in place a dance parents committee (DPC). This will assist with planning of activities to further enhance the dance program in your area. This is a wonderful opportunity for the students to gain further experiences in theatre arts and performance skills. By now all students should have their black dance gear, if you don't please order them @ $2,500 per set (Leotard, Tights and Skirt). Each child is required to wear their PE gear to the JCDC Dance Auditions. Mt. James Primary can wear their jeans and t-shirt.

New Dance Classes
Early Childhood Dance classes...You can now register your child (4 - 10 years) for extra dance lessons on Mondays and Wednesday.
Venue: YMCA, 23 Hope Road, Kingston
Time: 3:30 – 5:00 pm
Fees: $500.00 per class or $2,500 per month. 

Adult classes every Wednesday 
Venue: at HEART TRUST NTA, Cnr Oxford & Belmount Road,
Time: 5:15 – 6:15  
Fee: $1,500 per month.
