Friedrich Nietzsche will be pleased to see that we are making strides in ensuring that not all day's are lost on our students as we continue to promote dance in early childhood programs. From September - December our dance program will now be at Jamaica House Basic School (JHBS), Quest Preparatory School, Rosedale Basic School, Sunrays Educational Centre and Firm Fitness Club.

The end of term is December 15, 2012. We will be staging a performance of all the groups at the Shell Band Stand Hope Gardens. Our Christmas Dance Picnic begins at 10:00 AM with a performance schedule for 1:00 PM to end at 4:00 PM. All parents, teachers and school administrators are invited. Tickets are $600.00 We are seeking your help in coordinating this picnic so please let us know how you can assist us, be it with refreshment, sound, transportation and or funding.

Kofi Walker - Artistic Director 
AIR - Dance Teacher at Quest Prep & Sunrays Educational Centre
Walker of west rural St. Andrew has performd and taught internationally. His dedication to the arts is evident in his work history. from 1992 he demonstrated strong leadership skill by obtaining roles where he led, direct, choreograph or teach. At age 19 he started his first dance group "KEKO" in Kingston. Two year later he established the "Afro-Caribbean Dance Theatre" Company in Australia; by 1999 while working as Artistic Director for the Methodist Agogic Centre he founded the "Independent Artistes Foundation" in St. Maarten. He went to England and after studying at Northern School of Contemporary Dance joined Ludus Dance Theatre as Community Dance Artists, he later established "Ashe Dance Limited" Dance Agency; Junior West Berkshire and ACE Dance Company. In addition he has led numerous workshops and lectures in schools, colleges, universities and with community groups Globally.




Denise Reynolds of St. Catherine, Jamaica; 
AIR - Dance Teacher at Quest Prep & Jamaica House Basic School
Reynolds is of St. Catherine, Jamaica; she started dancing at the age of 3. As a member of the Halfway Tree Primary dance group, she discovered her love and talent for dance. She attended Dunrobin High and Dunoon Technical High schools where she was leader of the dance groups. Reynolds is also a past student of Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts. After attending the college for 2 years she was accredited with Honours. On completion of her studies she became a member of Caribbean Regals Entertainment Company where she played music and taught choreography and dance for 8 years. She also work with Silver Bird steel Band, over 2 years she taught dance and choreography for the band and various hotels and events across the entertainment field. in 2010 she started her own outreach program call DSMRC cultural and creative dancers, this group allow teenagers and adults who have an interest in dance to perform on the north and south coasts in hotels providing exposure and job opportunities.



Christina Aisha Gonzalez of St. Ann, Jamaica
AIR - Dance Teacher: Rosedale Basic School
Christina's immersion into the field of the performing arts came as a founding member and performer of CANA Kiddies; which at the time was a family owned dance caberet group that performed for hotels on the north coast of Jamaica. She studied at columbus Preparatory school and later St. Hilda's Diocesan High School, where upon graduating received an award for her outstanding leadership qualities and execution of duties as House Captain. At age 13 Christina was crowned Miss teen Jamaica 2001. Christina enrolled at Edna Manley College for the Visual and Performing Arts where she pursued a diploma in Dance Theatre Production. She is formerly trained in genres encompassing West African Folk, Jamaican Folk, Ballet, Cuban Modern, Cunningham, Martha Graham and Self Trained in Dance Hall. In addition to her diploma which was awarded with distinction, she received 'The Rex Nettleford Award' for the Most Outstanding Choreography student of her year group. As a career woman, she taught and choreographed at Edna Manley College School of Dance Adult and Junior Department, Hydel Group of Schools, Excelsior High School, various fitness centres and clubs throughout Kingston. During her tenure at Hydel her students were awarded two silver and a bronze medal for JCDC 2010 Dance competitions. She was also Dance Coordinator for Magnum Kings and Queens of Dance Hall.


Adrian Wilson of St. Andrew, Jamaica,
Football Coach - Rosedale Basic School
Football is the latest activity added to our program. Wilson is no stranger to AIR & PAASA and has been assisting our activities since Novemeber 2010. He's instrumental in the construction of sets in addition to his role as security personnel at our Early childhood Dance Theatre Festival in May of this year. Adrian is now the Football Coach for Rosedale.


We welcome both Christina and Adrian to our team.
