"Dance In The Park..." with Clayton Gidden

Last week Saturday’s class was full of energy and surprises. Unlike the two previous weeks we had 7 children in the park, this was followed by a group of adults, our parents, family and friends of the program had an amazing session with our featured Dance In The Park Teacher for the month of March Clayton Gidden.

Gidden describes himself as “Simple and talented.” He has recently join AIR-PAASA and have so far been engaged with the children and parents teaching a variety of dance forms/styles in his sessions. Gidden’s main job is Upholstering and expresses time and again that “dance is not my main passion, I just seemed to get pulled into projects like this.” Observing Clayton with the participants in the park says something else altogether.

Like a lot of dance teachers, Clayton, choreographer for "Father Holong and Friends" - Junior Dance group, has been affected by the pandemic but not as severely as others, “I have other talents,” he said. What is evident is that he’s been able to rely on other creative outlets such as Upholstery which he says he earns from. Mr. Gidden is guarded in revealing too much of himself during discussions, however his contribution so far has been well received by all participants and we are looking forward to working with him at Devon House during March. Happy Birthday Clayton, from all of us!

As we move forward, please help us develop this initiative. Our activities involve dance for children from 3 years – Adults. We also have percussion, storytelling, reading, homework and PEP assistance.

Fees:

- $4,000.00 per month or

- $1,500.00 per day (This includes Ice Cream or a Patty)

- $1,000.00 per day (Adult/Teens)
